wiring and mains failure)<\/li><li>Fail-safe common fault relay output<\/li><li>Temporary mute with 15-minute auto re-sound<\/li><li>Engineer lockout facility for maintenance periods<\/li><li>Bluetooth configuration interface (engineer use only)<\/li><li>Modbus and SAX Bus interface capability<\/li><li>Fully HTM 02-01 compliant<\/li><\/ul><p>The SAX-D combines modern digital monitoring with proven medical gas alarm principles, offering enhanced clarity and system integration while maintaining compatibility with existing infrastructure.<\/p><p><strong>Application<\/strong><\/p><p>The SAX-D Area Alarm is used to monitor medical gas pipeline pressures within wards, theatres and clinical areas.<\/p><p>Transducers are installed downstream of the final AVSU and monitor:<\/p><ul><li>High pressure<\/li><li>Low pressure<\/li><li>Vacuum (low pressure only)<\/li><\/ul><p>Each gas is displayed on its own OLED screen, providing clear colour-coded status indication:<\/p><ul><li>Green \u2013 Normal<\/li><li>Yellow \u2013 Pressure Drop<\/li><li>Red \u2013 High or Low Pressure<\/li><\/ul><p>The system continuously monitors:<\/p><ul><li>Transducer wiring integrity<\/li><li>Data communication between Encoder and Displays<\/li><li>Mains power condition<\/li><\/ul><p>A fault will result in:<\/p><ul><li>A system fault alarm<\/li><li>Visual indication on the affected channel(s)<\/li><li>Audible alarm activation<\/li><\/ul><p><strong>\u00a0<\/strong><\/p><p><strong>Connection<\/strong><\/p><p>The SAX-D system comprises an Encoder (Transmitter) and one or more Display units.<\/p><p>The Encoder converts 4\u201320mA transducer signals and transmits multiplexed data to the Display units via screened cable.<\/p><p>A 4-core cable is run from the Encoder to the Display, comprising:<\/p><ul><li>Positive supply<\/li><li>Negative supply<\/li><li>Data A<\/li><li>Data B<\/li><\/ul><p>Separate 2-core
